A complete digital solution for Germany's vehicle inspection process, streamlining technician workflows and making it easy for customers to book appointment online

In Germany, routine vehicle inspections are mandatory by law to ensure road safety. While these checks are crucial, the process behind them has long been stuck in the past, dependent on outdated software, disconnected systems, and heavy paperwork. For both inspection centers and car owners, this led to inefficiencies, errors, and delays. Our project set out to modernize this entire experience from both ends: by streamlining the internal workflow for inspectors and creating a smoother, faster way for customers to book appointments. The goal was simple—reduce manual work, connect all the steps, and move everything into a unified, digital experience.

A Smarter System for Technicians

Routine vehicle checks in Germany are required by law, but the process behind them was outdated—dependent on old software, manual input, and endless paperwork. Our task was to replace this with a single, modern platform that connects directly to the machines used in inspection: brakes, tires, emissions, and more. The new system guides technicians step by step, ensuring nothing is missed. Instead of juggling papers at every station, all data is entered digitally, stored centrally, and exported as a single PDF. Only one page needs printing for the final signature. Everything else runs smoothly in the software.

Making Booking Easy for Everyone

Customers faced a confusing, slow process just to get an appointment—either through government portals or in-person visits. We built a clean, browser-based booking tool where users can quickly choose a location, time slot, and upload their documents in one go.

Clear steps, helpful guidance, and a mobile-friendly design made it easy for anyone to complete their booking without calling or guessing what comes next.

Prototyping for Pitch-Perfect Buy-In

One major challenge was presenting the vision to investors. Static slides weren’t enough. So we created a fully clickable prototype showing both technician and customer flows.

This helped investors experience the product firsthand—how it feels, what it solves, and how it improves the entire workflow. The prototype became a key tool in moving the project forward.
